We are looking for an Industrial Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer of 2018. The qualified candidate will be involved in engineering projects and will spend time in Engineering and Operations. This position will be located in Itasca, Illinois.
- Time studies/capacity analyses
- Develop and document drawings for key, internally designed spare parts
- Production floor 5s
- Predictive maintenance – determine automatic replacement interval for key spare parts and consumables
Each intern works on a project that is tailored to the specific skills and interests of the candidate. The scope of the projects is chosen, so that the intern is able to complete it within the intern period. In addition to the project itself, the intern has the chance to learn about the business practices and philosophies of a Fortune 200 company like ITW.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor level or higher degree program in Industrial Engineering
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- High degree of technical aptitude
- Results oriented
- Strong communication skills
