Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer

FPC of Raleigh has been engaged to locate a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer for a medical devices company with an aggressive growth trend. Through recent acquisitions, this company has realized considerable growth and expects to continue this trend for years to come.

This role has a high potential to provide the right candidate with excellent development opportunities!


The Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer will take charge of the development, implementation, and management of strategies designed to improve production and deliverable efficiency to the customer base. The Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer will be directly responsible for driving strategic projects focused on the reduction of operating costs, enabling organizational efficiency, and reducing waste.


Project types may include:

                -Product transfers from one location to another or one vendor to another

                -Development, review, and approval of process and equipment validations/qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ)

                -Lead the implementation of continuous improvement activities

                -Interface with suppliers for new process development, quality issues, and process improvement

                -Preparation of manufacturing process work instructions and operating procedures

Job Requirements


Required Qualifications:

                -BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering

                -5+ years of experience in manufacturing

                -5+ years of experience leading large scale projects

                -Certified Manufacturing Engineer Certification (CMfgE) or Six Sigma Black Belt certification

                -Direct experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment

                -Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

                -Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally


Desired Qualifications:

                -MBA (with related Engineering experience)

                -Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
