Division of major international manufacturer is seeking a Division Supply Chain Manager who will have multi-site responsibility. The Supply Manager will lead the planning processes and Plant Supply Managers across all the supplying plants in North America and will be responsible for the deployment of supply chain best practices and deployment of KPI’s to drive clear end-to-end cross-functional accountability and process standardization and automation. Will consistently meet customer requirements, while improving team productivity. Direct reports will consists of the Plant Supply Managers and Master Production Planners.
+Prevention of supply disruption to our customers is of chief importance for this roles success.
+Understand Supply Risks 4 to 6 months ahead of their occurrence and communicate those risks cross-functionally and with Supply Chain, Operations and Purchasing management team.
+Develop plans to mitigate those Supply Risks and collaborate cross-functionally in taking action to prevent supply disruptions.
+Manage Source Change Plans for your plants. If a product is being moved from one plant to another or is being outsourced, the incumbent will ensure adequate planning has been done to prevent any supply disruptions to our customers.
+Have a clear awareness of Plant assets at high risk of failure, which could lead to supply risks for our customers. Communicate these to Plant Managers and Directors of Operations, and ensure responsible Recovery Plans are developed to protect supply to our customers, in the event of an asset failure.
+Ensure Capacity is available to meet monthly S&OP Production forecast. Build a 16-week rolling Master Production Plan for all plants within your scope, while considering maximum available capacity per the Plant Manager.
+Work closely with Operations Director and Plant Managers where capacity is less than required to meet the Production Forecast and ensure a clear action plan exists to maximize capacity.
+Gain agreement on a 16 week Committed Production Plan from each plant manager on a monthly basis to support the Unconstrained Production Forecast.
+Responsibility for all Supply Chain functions in four manufacturing plants (3 US, 1 MX)
Specific responsibilities of this position are:
*Supply Risk Management to protect customer supply
*Production forecasting (primary liaison with FG Planning)
*Capacity planning to enable agility in response to competitive market
*Inventory Control & Management
*Shipping & Receiving (including interaction with Transportation)
*Warehousing and Material Handling
*Supplier performance and quality (in conjunction with Purchasing & Operations)
BS in engineering or related degree required with an advanced degree a plus and at least 10 to 15 years of applied professional supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to create, implement and execute systems across a large matrix managed organization with discrete manufacturing process, processing thousands of individual UPC’s.
Strong computer skills and SAP experience desired. Supply Chain APICS certification or in process. Lean and or Six Sigma related experience.
Proven coach and leader, with succession planning and employee development skills. A thorough understanding of business (marketing, customer service and finance) is required.
Runway and successor to Director opportunity within 2-3 years.
