The Digital Catalyst Team is a new enterprise team that is responsible for working collaboratively with the lines of business (e.g., Gas Operations, Electric Operations, etc.) to implement consumer grade mobile and analytical solutions across various user groups (e.g., field users, office workers, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to:
Deploying best-in-class / rapid delivery capability for mobile & analytics solutions.
Simplifying, improving, and standardizing business work management processes for mobile & analytics needs.
Delivering high value analytics across all Lines of Businesses.
Rapid delivery of web applications.
Digital Catalyst consists of a staff of highly skilled professionals working together to produce mobile & analytics solutions following an agile methodology and design thinking. We are a “start-up" department within IT and building a driven and creative development team. We take the time to understand our partners’ needs and translate those into solutions that delight our users. Our goal is to deliver products with intuitive user experience that will improve PG&E employees’ and customer’s safety, productivity and overall well-being.
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Full Stack Developer in the Digital Catalyst Team to lead moderate to highly complex programming tasks and provide code reviews of various development tasks. You will implement automated unit and integration tests and ensure the practice is followed consistently. You will participate in system design and specifications, program logic and flow-charting, data engineering, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and support. Additionally, you will provide analysis of problems and recommends solutions.

Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, including serverless technologies, databases, and automation with Configuration Management, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
Experience in designing and developing data pipelines within distributed environments, for example Python, Spark, etc.
Experience with both SQL and NoSQL data stores and designing suitable data models
Strong Unix/Linux/Shell skills
Hands on development of applications and services
- Experience in product development
- Experience as Developer, full-stack, 5 years
- Experience in designing and developing web services using REST and JSON
- Experience with utilizing Git as a shared repository, i.e. code check in, branching, etc.
- Experience in building and implementing data pipelines, data lakes, and data governance
