We are currently recruiting a Funding Expediter- Sr. Underwriter for our Miami Gardens location. 


 


The Funding Expediter is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, underwriting, and approving small to medium sized business funding applications with the primary objective of providing superior service while mitigating risk. The individual is responsible for evaluating the credit worthiness and management capabilities of the merchant based on documentation and one on one conversations with the merchant. The successful candidate will provide timely, professional communication with merchants and brokers as they perform the final stage of underwriting and risk analysis before funding. The candidate must have excellent communication, strong time management skills, and demonstrated underwriting abilities.


 


Job Responsibilities:


  • Review and analyze, and authenticate financial statements, credit reports, and all provided underwriting documents.

  • Responsible for the efficient management of schedule (merchant interviews, landlord verifications, etc.) to ensure files are processed within established goal times.

  • Effective documentation of received stipulations, merchant and broker communications, and other information related to the funding application.

  • Develops and recommends processes or tools to improve production methods, team performance and underwriting quality to meet business demands and performance metrics.

  • Performs duties according to established department policies and adheres to company policies.

  • Performs Merchant Interviews and Landlord Verifications via telephone, completing the underwriting process.

  • Submits funding application/file to Credit Committee for final review.

  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Job Requirements

 REQUIRED Qualifications:


  •  Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High integrity

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong analytical and intuitive investigative skills

  • Must be detailed oriented

  • Effective time management, organization, and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines

  • Strong independent decision making capabilities

  • Intermediate Skill Level- Microsoft Office Suite

  • Minimum 1 year experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, alternative lending, financial analysis, private banking, corporate/investment banking or capital markets

  • High School Diploma/GED plus relevant experience

   Preferred Qualifications:


  • Merchant Cash Advance or alternative lending industry experience is a plus

  • Three years' experience in one or a combination of the following: underwriting, alternative lending, financial analysis, private banking, corporate/investment banking or capital markets

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus

  • College Degree in Finance, Business, or related field is a plus
