Job Description

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, is currently seeking an Office Services Clerk/Tech Assistant for our Sacramento office.  We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dependable and responsible individual to perform various general office tasks and technology related support, including the support of technology systems essential to the day to day business operations in a fast paced, professional environment.  The Office Services Clerk works as part of a team under the direction of the local Facilities Supervisor and also has reporting responsibilities to the local Technology Support Analyst.  Must have excellent organizational skills and a professional demeanor.

Duties & Responsibilities

Office Services:

  • Copy, bind, print and scan documents;

  • Internal In and Out box routing;

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail;

  • Maintain and clean supply/work rooms;

  • Maintain and clean kitchen and conference rooms;

  • Maintain Office Services files – equipment inventory facilities services, etc.;

  • Ordering supplies and maintain inventories;

  • Serve as point of contact for client staff on requests for general assistance and information.

  • Facilities set ups and equipment support, e.g., equipment inventory, copiers, etc.;

  • Setup and cleanup office events

  • Deliveries and pickups from post office, courts, State Capitol, client businesses, and other.

Technology Support:

  • Backup local tech with computer hardware and software support, computer setups, breakdowns and office moves;

  • Primary tech support when local tech analyst is out of the office;

  • Printer hardware troubleshooting, maintain printer cartridge supply;

  • Conference room services, including video conferencing, AV setups and take-downs;

  • Telephone and voicemail support;

  • Follow-up and communicate with end user;

  • Assist with various technical support projects as assigned.

  • Addition tech duties as needed and as skills are demonstrated.


Job Requirements

Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline-oriented environment while achieving business goals and objectives;

  • Ability to take initiative and use good judgment; work effectively with all levels of the office;

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey information clearly;

  • Must be willing and able to effectively work in and adapt to a changing environment.

  • Ability to understand internal and external client needs and provide excellent service to meet or exceed client expectations;

  • Candidate must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs. as necessary for equipment installations, workstation set ups, etc.

  • Must be willing to work occasional overtime.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment; high school diploma;

  • Knowledge of the Windows 7 operating system, settings, and limitations;

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2010 Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;

  • Troubleshooting skills related to desktop computer hardware and software, demonstrating the ability to quickly resolve issues or suggest alternative solutions;

  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting various mobile devices with a focus on enterprise email delivery. Blackberry, iPad, iPhone and Android device experience a plus;

  • Experience working with networked and local printers, scanners, advanced copiers and other hardware peripherals;

  • Experience with common law firm tools such as email archiving and document management systems a plus;

  • Experience with Enterprise Vault and Interwoven FileSite a plus;
