Company Description
Since 1928, people have been trusting Farmers Insurance to provide them with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their futures and their families are covered against risk.  Farmers partners with agents to write multi line insurance through one of the country's largest personal lines:  Life, Property and Casualty insurers.  Our agents are also eligible to write a myriad of investment and variable life insurance products through our financial services partners.

Job Description
. Establish and develop customer relationships and follow up with customers
. Provide prompt, accurate and friendly customer service
. Respond to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, claims submissions, and billing verification
. Become familiar with products, services and systems
. Contribute to agency success through promoting new business, cross-selling and new initiatives
. Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals

Job Requirements
. Have or acquire California State insurance licenses.  Help available for study and testing
. Pass background/credit check
. Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
. Good operational computing skill (Microsoft Office Suites, Internet Browsers)
. Work well with teammates to ensure seamless customer experience
. Confident self-starter who works well independently
. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
. Ability to multi-task
. Strong organizational skills
. Client focused

In 1959 a Farmers customer wrote us a letter of surprised gratitude when his car battery was replaced just an hour after it was stolen. A letter from a couple in 2002 wrote that their Farmers agent and Claims Adjuster “were exceptional in their handling of our grief, what we needed to do, and helpful in many other ways.” That same year, when Hurricane Rita struck Beaumont, Texas, Farmers sent 300 agents to assess damages while policy holders were evacuated. Farmers also donated $100,000 for the city’s emergency operations center and two megawatt generators that restored power to Beaumont. Whatever year or decade a disaster occurs, you can count on us to be there for you.
