Edgewood Management is looking to hire a Program Coordinator in Baltimore, MD!

Program Coordinator


60% of time - Youth:

  • Directs tutoring and mentoring assistance
  • Engages school administrators, teachers, and volunteers to support learning goals
  • Plans and coordinates special events and recreational activities
  • Coordinates financial literacy programming
  • Coordinates Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts programming
  • Recruits volunteer support
  • Identify opportunities for community service projects
  • Reviews standardized test scores, report cards, and attendance reports to support learning goals.  Carefully tracks student progress in collaboration with school teachers.
  • Plans and coordinates onsite, parent-teacher conferences
  • Plans summer camp activities
  • Supports fundraising goals as appropriate

 30% of time - Adults:

  • Works pro-actively with property management to ensure family economic stability by identifying potential challenges related to late rent, utility cut-off, health, and child welfare. Coordinates resources to address these issues
  • Coordinates free tax preparation/Earned Income Tax Credit campaign with partners
  • Organize parents to increase parental participation in school related conferences and meetings. 
  • Identifies and coordinates opportunities for job readiness and workforce development training
  • Identify opportunities for community service projects
  • Strengthen opportunities for resident leadership, community engagement, and volunteering
  • Supports fundraising goals as appropriate

 10% of time - Other:

  • Work with management to identify and partner with local service providers to deliver programming.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reports for management.
  • Produce and write success stories about resident achievements and interests.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.  Minimum 3.25 college GPA in social work, liberal arts, or education preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a volunteer with Big Brother/Big Sister, Boys & Girls Club, AmeriCorp, fraternities, sororities and similar organizations a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Sense of humor and patience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Strong software and technology skills desired
