We have an immediate need for a full-time Bilingual General Accounting Manager for our Reynoldsburg,Ohio corporate office. Job Summary:
This individual will oversee corporate finance, tax compliance and work with management on policy development and the adoption of new accounting standards. Since this position supervises financial reporting to the parent company there is frequent interaction with the Japan as well as with the local staff and team members from the Company’s 15 facilities located throughout the Americas region. 

  • Responsible for cash flow analysis and projections.
  • Payment review and authorization, works with banks to optimize banking structure and finance area.
  • Possess general knowledge of Federal and State corporate tax regulations including but not limited to income taxes/consumer activity, personal property, real estate, sales/use, 1099's, unclaimed funds, etc. Works with outside firm to ensure timely filing. Performs tasks associated with various tax saving projects. Interacts with various tax agencies during tax audits.
  • Supervises reporting to parent company. Analyzes financial statements, investigate variances, documents issues, countermeasures when necessary and provides explanations.
  • Highly involved in accounting business development, sets associates development and performance objectives, monitors and provides feedback.
  • Interacts externally with customers, vendors, banks, CPA firms, consultants, governmental auditors, etc. Internally the position is instrumental in communicating financial results, policy changes and business plan objectives to expatriates executives at corporate and various plant locations.
  • Works with internal and external auditors on policy development and adoption of new standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin or similar area.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Masters in Accounting (MBA) preferred.
  • 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in similar capacity.
  • Prior ERP or other automated business system experience.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive industry preferred).

Essential Skills:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of corporate tax compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
