Area Operations Manager

 

Position Summary:

 

The Area Operations Manager is fully responsible for the growth & development of all temporary branch offices including the direct day-to-day training and development of all branch managers, outside sales representatives and indirect management of all staffing coordinators and support staff.  The Area Manager will also be fully responsible for the supervision, legal compliance and continued ethical employment of all temporary field employees.

 

We are the largest & oldest  full-service temp staffing company in El Paso/ Las Cruces.  You will be expected to immediately learn and ensure compliance of  our proven operating system.  You will be fully responsible for increasing the sales revenue portfolio (number of accounts and revenue) by controlling the cost of services provided (including branch operating costs).  Most importantly, the Area Manager will provide hand-on, day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, motivation and training to all Staff employees in all branch offices.


Must be willing/able to relocate to El Paso, Texas.

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • 7-10 years experience in the Temporary Staffing Industry, with no less than 5 years in a Senior Branch or Area Management role.  May consider a highly skilled Branch Manager that is ready for a step up into Area Management.  Must  have an  exceptional track record of success; providing effective training and  leadership to staff.

  • Must be a hands-on leader that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves & get into the trenches with the staff.  Will be expected to make outside sales calls with Sales Reps / work a desk when the Branch Manager is on leave

  • Self-starter Sales skills a must.  Charismatic personality, extremely goal oriented with strong desire to succeed at all costs.   Must be an excellent trainer, motivator and communicator.  Will need to have the industry expertise / leadership skills to earn the respect of our current staff.
  • Must be an out-of-the-box thinker, have an “ownership" mentality; 
  • Clear understanding of P&L management / financial performance indicators & the business ability and skills to make the adjustments necessary to increase top line performance, cut unnecessary office expenses and improve branch profits.  Must  fully understand the value of hiring, training, motivating and retaining quality employees;

This is an expansion position.  Our Co-Owner and President had performed this position since she opened the business several years ago.  Now, however, she wants to work on her business, rather than in her business and is looking for that very special person that can slip into her shoes and handle the reins with the same sense of urgency, expertise, skill and “ownership of responsibilities" that she did.  She will continue to mentor, however, we are looking for a take-charge person that loves to get involved, can bring in new ideas, teach us new things, and take our business to new levels without us having to look over your shoulder every day.
