Field Service Technical

In this full-time position, you will use your background in field technical support to manage a strategic client relationship in this area. Based on the clients needs, the support services you will provide include reactive break / fix support and installations of installed printing equipment.

As the Field Service Technician, you will:

• maintain high-level customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met

• respond to service, product, technical, and customer relations questions

• handle customer-relation problems promptly and appropriately, providing guidance and escalating issues according to established procedures

• act creatively to resolve complex customer issues

• provide post-sales or service delivery support

• use proactive monitoring procedures/tools to identify equipment breakdown prevention opportunities

• provide technical advice on current ongoing maintenance efforts

• engage in technical problem-solving across multiple equipment types from multiple vendors

Requirements

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelors degree Electrical Engineering or 3+ years experience troubleshooting inkjet digital printing presses for industrial applications

OR

• Associates degree (technical field preferred) and 6+ years experience troubleshooting inkjet digital printing presses for industrial applications

OR

• Without an Associates or higher level degree, an additional 2 years related work experience for a total of 8+ years experience troubleshooting inkjet digital printing presses for industrial applications

Knowledge and Skills Required

• A successful track record as a Field Service Technician with strong electrical and mechanical experience with printers, presses and inkjet equipment

• 4+ years hands-on experience with servos, switches, PLC, HMI and electrical components

• Demonstrated skills in project management, planning, scheduling, problem solving, controlling, innovation, analysis, communication, and negotiation

• Ability to trouble shoot, perform root cause analysis, read electrical diagrams, track parts inventory and provide solutions in a timely manner

Ability to communicate proactively with clients, provide accurate estimations of work completion and explanation of on going process to allow for client understanding and acceptance
