Our client's Electrical team seeks highly motivated technology pioneers with the desire to lead flight sensor suite development. Successful candidates must be able to work on challenging multi sensor perception problems enabling aircraft to perceive and react to the environment.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Take ownership in the creation of the flight sensor suite
Research and evaluate latest sensor technology for flight applications
Define sensor system’s technical requirements
Validate and debug vehicle sensing hardware system for performance and reliability
Design and implement Sensor Fusion algorithms
Help maximize performance of real-time perception algorithms
Help implement sensor simulation to train and test the perception algorithms
Provide technical leadership for all sensor related items
Contribute towards overall architecture and strategy for sensors

BS/MS in physics, electrical engineering, computer science or other technical fields
3+ years of industry experience in vision sensing technology
Expertise in building sensor fusion systems for perception and localization problems
Experience with estimating sensor noise, biases, and covariances
Experience with designing and tuning state estimation filters
Familiar with computer vision and deep learning-based perception techniques
C/C++ coding and device driver development experience
Knowledge of electro-optical, electronics, and data communication interfaces
Exposure to firmware design and/or real-time systems
Comfortable in driving results under uncertainty during the earlier stages of development
Ability to work independently as well as part of a high functioning team
Understand the complexities of scaling a technically sophisticated product including balancing technical requirements schedule and risk, and procedural and safety compliance
