Cognitive Skills: Organization and analytical skills, accuracy and patience are key, especially early on while you are “getting into your rhythm”.
Physical Fortitude: Energy to be about every day, driving to and meeting new and follow-up clients, and handling samples.
Communication Skills: Strong English verbal and written skills are essential for the extensive client and intra-company communications involved in the job.
Computer Skills: Confidence and skills to use a PC and smart phone, and complete familiarity with emails, texting and using the internet. While company software/programs will be taught at training, you must be comfortable using today's technology already.
Sales and Business Skills: A positive personal impact and sales style, and the core skills and attributes required to close deals, and preferably to obtain referrals and build reciprocal business connections.
Product Learning and Interest: An enthusiasm for and ability to become an expert in window treatments, and the ability to communicate that to clients with infectious enthusiasm.
Time & Commitment: This is not a "9-5" job - it's an independent sales position, so you need the drive and willingness to commit the hours required to succeed and earn great money, with minimum supervision.
