Location: Remote

Pay Rate: $18/hr

Duration: 6 months

Shift: Work hours will be 8 hours shift between 7 AM - 9 PM Central. Workweek could be either Sunday – Thursday OR Tuesday – Saturday

Project Description: 


The Unemployment Claims Processors will actively assist in processing unemployment claims. 


 Responsibilities: 


Customer Service: 

  • Engage in inbound customer calls and provide satisfactory answers to inquiries and concerns regarding unemployment claims 
  • Review customer account and provide updates and troubleshooting as needed while keeping personally identified information (PII) confidential 
  • De-escalate situations involving high stress and dissatisfied customers, offering customer assistance and support 
  • Manage customer service relations to maintain state-mandated SLAs 
  • Consistently meet individual performance standards/metrics 

Claims Processing: 

  • Navigate the client’s internal system/customer service technology platform to document in detail a record of each call 
  • Collaborate with other agents on a daily basis to maintain a strong culture and to stay informed on process updates and changes 
  • Associates Degree (2-year degree) OR High School Diploma or GED with >2 years of experience in a call center environment
  • >1 year of Customer Service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Typing speed of at least 40 wpm
  • Must be willing to work normal business hours and occasional weekend days, as needed
  •  Must be within 90 miles of Memphis, Nashville, OR Knoxville
