EDCi is a Cisco Premier Partner focusing on switching, routing, firewalls, security, wireless and IP telephony. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Security Presales Consultant. The Senior Security Consultant is a key contributor in the pre-sale process, acting as the technical lead to evaluate customer's needs and construct a solution to address those needs. The Senior Security Consultant collaborates with sales, professional services, and manufacturer technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that are supported by key customer technical decision-makers. The Senior Security Consultant is responsible for achieving a profit goal to achieve the business goals in the practice.

Responsibilities

 

·         Jointly works with Account Managers to grow customer revenue through training, product knowledge and closing business

·         Provide technical expertise and credibility to Account Managers in designated areas

·         Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in designated areas to give
effective presentations

·         Conduct customer presentations on value proposition and technical solution set for assigned accounts

·         Assist Account Managers with account planning as it relates to technical aspects of hardware, software, and services opportunity development

·         Participate with Account Managers to respond to RFP/RFI/RFQ requests

·         Collects customer business and technical requirements and recommends solutions with Account Managers

·         Develop solution architecture, estimate cost of hardware/software and collaborate with Professional Services on labor to implement

·         Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models, leverage quoting tools for quote generation

·         Write Statements of Work (SOWs) for solutions and present to customers, demonstrating EDCi value proposition

·         Manage the customer proposal process and ensure that technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate, properly defined and detailed

·         Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines

·         Demonstrates high standards of technical thought leadership with customers through activities such as active education, consultation, presentation, technical evaluations, objection handling or general supportive discussion

·         Perform billable consulting for customers as required

·         Participate with Account Managers to provide high customer service

·         Function as a liaison to Professional Services architecture specifics when questions arise

·         Recommend to management potential solution areas and services for development/investments

·         Understand vendor solution technologies and how they can be leveraged to solve customer business problems

·         Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies

·         Mentor and coach Account Managers and other professionals as to how to maximize revenue with solutions

·         Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications

·         Other duties as assigned

·         Associate’s degree in IT or related experience is required

·         Experience selling software, hardware and services is preferred

·         Technical certifications in applicable technology areas is a plus (Cisco and other security certifications)

·         Travel to current and potential clients required

·         Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and goals

·         Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment

·         Strong work ethic

·         Self-starter that has good problem solving skills

·         Excellent customer service attitude and team focus

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
