The position is focused on process improvement through workflows both in processes or technical and monitoring for a quality revenue cycle.  Individual must have a thorough understanding of the entire professional revenue cycle, including pre-service, coding, compliance, provider education, business office functions and the practices, working to improve the overall revenue cycle processes and efficiencies.  This position takes a proactive approach, communicating to PRC departments and clients, identified issues.  The position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing regional performance, identifying trends, issues, or concerns in both the professional revenue cycle services and the practices themselves.  This position develops and maintains an ongoing relationship with leaders and associates throughout the organization.  This individual will routinely communicate their findings and results to appropriate parties. This person may be responsible for creating projects, bringing together the resources to seek resolution and continually monitor until the issue has reached maximum improvement and stability, along with recording the performance improvement impact.  This position focuses  on quality systems utilizing people, technical utilization and processes necessary to implement a continuous quality improvement (CQI) approach.  Individuals are a servant leader.  This position is fast-paced, requiring professionalism, critical thinking, multitasking, analyzing, effective problem solving skills, communication and relationship skills.

Essential Functions:

Leadership: Has a continuous and consistent presence in both the assigned facilities and Revenue Cycle Services Center (RCSC)  to provide support, review processes, provide feedback and identify areas of opportunity.  Travel requirements could be up to 75%.  Maintains knowledge of Revenue Cycle best practices ensuring high productivity and proficiency standards are met. Promotes a culture of collaboration between the PRC, clients and practices and serves as a positive role model for Revenue Cycle.   Demonstrated ability to manage the day to day operations of multiple mid to large sized organizations providing a diverse and complex offering of services to the community.  Understands and stays abreast of payer requirements and changes in the industry and communicates those changes as well as the financial impact to local leadership.  Represents Physician Revenue Cycle in all matters of daily business.  Running projects, determining root cause of issues surrounding, providing resolution and stabilization plan, as well as monitoring status post project.

Performance Monitoring/Improvement: Works collaboratively with the all PRC departments to understand impact of facility operations and workflows on Revenue Cycle performance. Has a working knowledge of PRC projects and performance metrics, how they relate to best practice and industry standard benchmarks and the operational changes necessary to ensure top tier performance. Monitors performance KPIs and routine reports.  Monitors that performance improvement plans are developed and implemented when necessary.

Communication:  Builds relationships with client leadership to ensure open communication.  Provides a monthly executive summary and meets with client leadership to communicate client performance.  Provides updates to client leadership regarding ongoing PRC projects and the impact on performance metrics.  Provides timely information to PRC on operational changes, new business development, and service line expansion that will impact Revenue Cycle.  Communicates in a way that promotes trust and credibility between the PRC and client leadership and strives to strengthen local and corporate relationships for positive outcomes. Escalates issues to PRC leaders as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

Innovation:  Demonstrated ability to work independently to ensure Revenue Cycle operations are managed efficiently and effectively.  Ensures that best practice Revenue Cycle processes  are communicated and implemented where necessary. Coordinates with the client leadership to discuss both strengths and opportunities for improvement to meet performance metrics.  Makes suggestions for process improvements and develops project plans with target milestone dates.

Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma.

Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree

* Combination of post secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Licensure: Certified Procedural Coder, Additional Epic Certifications, Practice Management, Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), Credentialed in Cadence and Prelude, Credentialed in Resolute, Six Sigma Yellow Belt

Required Experience: 6 years of experience in Professional Revenue Cycle.

Experience required with:  Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Training experience, Communication Skills, Epic Reporting Tools
