We are looking for a HIGH LEVEL Director of Manufacturing Operations/Plant Director for our client in Columbus, OH! This position will be reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and manage the largest product manufacturing plant at their flagship location. You will oversee plant operations including production, packaging, engineering, maintenance, warehousing, shipping and receiving. You will be directly responsible for leading a team of 23 salaried employees and 350-400 hourly and seasonal associates, with a dotted line responsibility for Quality, EH&S, and Finance. They offer a very healthy salary and bonus, an unbelievable 401K match (up to 7.5%), generous holiday and vacation days, and the list goes on!

  • Someone who has led large production plants with 350+ employees
  • Forward/innovative thinker, professional and strong communicator
  • Someone who can establish short and long-term strategic operating objectives that drive margin improvements
  • Someone with a history of leading change for service and cost; optimization, process improvements, savings, etc. that can respectfully challenge leadership team to work on game changers within the industry
  • STRONG leader
  • Background in CPG manufacturing, preferred
  • Someone with great personality/communicable and very professional! This is their flagship location…and this candidate will be interfacing with high level executives. They want someone with room to grow in their career, but high level successor

Job Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree focused in Engineering (highly preferred), Supply Chain, Manufacturing or other   related field.

       Minimum of 10 years overall manufacturing experience with a focus on budgetary, capital planning, P&L responsibilities, continuous improvement, purchasing, distribution, associate development, and safety. 

       Experience managing a large production facility with hundreds of direct or indirect reports, and the ability to interact with associates ranging from an hourly operator all the way up to the CEO.

       A track record of developing long term strategic initiatives across multiple business functions.

       Personal drive, and focus on continuous improvement.
