Product/Mechanical Engineers

 

A well established International Auto Parts Manufacturing Company located near Bowling Green KY. has immediate openings for a Product/Mechanical Engineers. 

This person will coordinate prototype coil suspension springs production to meet required tolerances, provide technical support to manufacturing, design tooling for production, help resolve quality-related issues, and provide documentation pertaining to customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a BSME and 3 to 8 years engineering experience. Experience in tooling preferred. Must be able to create and read CAD drawings, be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and also possess excellent trouble shooting skills.

The candidate should be “hands on”, willing to spend at least 50% of his/her time on the production floor. He/she must be able to manage multiple projects, meet schedules, and work with people at all levels.

 Essential Duties

1.       Plan and coordinate prototype production to meet required tolerances

2.       Assist customers in assessing and analyzing product capabilities

3.       Administer clear documentation and communication to ensure that customers’ 

        specification, dimensions, special characteristics, etc. for all parts are achieved       and maintained based on manufacturing capabilities

4.       Assist all other departments in interpretations of specifications, quality,

        and customer requirements

5.       Value analysis of parts to order to produce them with improved quality,

        and customer requirements

6.       Assist sales in analyzing designs for quotations

7.       Complete documentation related to product development

8.       Provide technical support to manufacturing

9.       Design tooling

10.    Continuously improve the manufacturing process and work environment

11.    Other essential duties as assigned
