The Senior Compensation Business Partner is responsible for managing relationships with the People and Culture team, Finance, as well as business leaders across the three subsidiaries of Cor Partners, Inc. by administering effective compensation programs in accordance with the Company’s pay practices and total rewards strategy.  This position will be responsible to provide guidance on organizational compensation policies, practices, procedures, as well as to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role will work in a shared services capacity as the primary point of contact for compensation projects and requests.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates in the compensation review process, including market range competitive assessment, survey submission, performance management and other routine People and Culture programs.
  • Provides primary analytical and quantitative support in modeling, auditing, testing, and implementation of merit/structure budget recommendations, the salary planning process, the merit increase process, promotional policies, differential policies, as well as incentive levels and features.
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and administration of the Company’s compensation programs and practices. These programs include base salary administration, incentive plans, executive compensation programs, and other supplemental pay programs.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition leaders to assess the Company’s competitive pay position; maintains the integrity of salary structure(s); recommends compensation budgets and salary increases; and manages the Company’s job catalog.
  • Implements special projects as assigned. Recommends system, process, and program improvements to allow the efficient operation and reporting of variable compensation programs and ancillary programs. 
  • Counsels and educates People and Culture team, as well as business leaders on compensation program mechanics, design and philosophy, policy, and guidelines.
  • Participates in merger and acquisition activities, including a review of the current compensation programs of newly acquired companies, and creates a strategy for integrating newly acquired team members into the Company's current compensation programs. 
  • Implements and complies with the governance model for compensation programs.
  • Ensures rewards and practices comply with local tax and labor laws, as well as aligns to the Company’s corporate rules and policies. Provides periodic reports to reflect different metrics including heart count, productivity, and market positioning. Conducts periodic audits of local bonus programs.
  • Partners with the Finance team to forecast plan expense and drive performance of the compensation plans through prudent plan design, ongoing review, and evaluation. 
  • Compiles and prepares data for executive presentations to management.
  • Recommends plan and program revisions and new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with our goals.
  • Participates in ongoing education, training, and development efforts to maintain and enhance skills as assigned or approved.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Human Resources Management, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation design and administration.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills; effective leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively with team members to achieve company goals.
  • Ability to assess processes, implement best practices and train team members.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Certified Compensation Professional or Global Remuneration Professional certification desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills with Excel (pivots, macros, charting).
  • Professional and self-driven to achieve results.
  • Solid mathematical skills; fundamental finance skills.
  • Independent judgement/decision making.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of a matrixed organization.
  • Champion of continuous improvement.
  • Project management skills to lead process improvement activities, including automation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in a typical office environment, with limited exposure to harsh weather conditions, loud internal or external noise, fumes, or significant temperature changes.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Work can involve lifting and carrying up to 10 - 20 lbs.; frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching; occasional kneeling and stooping; operating office equipment; visual acuity to prepare, read, and organize detailed hard copy and electronic documents; ability to speak and to hear the spoken word in normal face-to-face, telephonic, and web-based business communications.  Willingness to accommodate occasional meetings and work activities that may be scheduled after normal daytime business hours.
