Client Services Advocate

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors upon arrival to office
  • Obtain detailed information from patients to include completed paperwork, signatures, insurance cards, photo id, etc.
  • Scan all documentation and attach to patient electronic record in the OPIE operating system
  • Insurance verification online and via phone
  • Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles from patients
  • Answer busy incoming phone calls professionally, courteously, and compassionately
  • Schedule patient appointments for multiple office locations
  • Assist patients with getting in and out of the building as needed or any other specific needs such as transportation arrangements and interpreter services
  • Maintain tidiness of front desk and waiting room areas
  • Monitor email messages and respond accordingly to assignments
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members
  • Understand and abide by HIPAA guidelines and all company policies
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • High School Diploma
  • Medical office experience and/or call center experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work assignments
  • Computer experience may include Word, Excel, email and database application software; scanning equipment; copy machine; and fax
