Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Type: Contingent on Contract Award

The United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) is the theater army assigned as the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) to the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM). USARPAC provides continuous oversight and control of Army operations throughout the Indo-Pacific theater and has jurisdiction over Army forces serving in Hawaii (HI), Alaska (AK), the Pacific Ocean, South Korea, and Japan. USARPAC provides United States Code (U.S.C.) Title 10 support to USARPAC forces and personnel within the theater and is the Joint Forces Land Component Commander (JFLCC) to USINDOPACOM.

Primary Duties:

  • Collects financial data, prepares project and program budgets and forecasts, performs project level financial management reporting and analysis, assess financial risks, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Coordinates and submit contract invoices.
  • Compiles and analyzes key performance metrics in support of Financial Program Management Reviews at the end of the period of performance.
  • Performs funding tracking and reporting.
  • Employs automated tools and systems to perform project control functions.
  • Coordinates commitment and obligations documents as well as accounting and budget systems to the United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC).
  • Assists in financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Develops automated procedures for inputs and reconciliations.
  • Tracks and performs quality control review of artifacts and reconciliations.
  • Develops flowcharts for various business processes (e.g., Fund Balance with treasury, and unmatched disbursement/collections).
  • Researches applicable accounting guidance such as DoD-FMR, GAAP, GAAS.


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required. Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or accounting is preferred.
  • Degree requirement waived in lieu of significant recent and relevant work experience: minimum of 5 years' experience active-duty m military working financial activities or minimum often a minimum of 10 years experience working DoD or industry financial activities.

This full-time position is Monday through Friday and operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Limited travel may be required.
