Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Supervisor, Point of Care for the Union Campus to work from 7am-3pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/ Responsibilities:
* Oversees all Laboratory operations at the Union Emergency Department Laboratory.
* Oversees, and perform as necessary, laboratory procedures to obtain results for physicians, in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using established protocols
* Responsible for the daily efficient operations of the Union ED Laboratory, good quality control practices, scheduling, inventory and instrument maintenance.
* Establishes and implements policies and procedures, instrument validations, in collaboration with associated departments throughout the organization. Completes projects as assigned.
* Works independently and communicates effectively with other healthcare professionals.
* Is familiar with all aspects of the LIS, maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Assists with training of Laboratory and Non-laboratory staff in the ED.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
* High school/GED diploma
* Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related Science Foreign graduates require equivalency evaluation documentation
Minimum Experience:
* Three years previous Laboratory experience in a hospital setting highly preferred
License/Certification:
* ASCP certification preferred
