VICE PRES INFORMATION TECHNLGY (UA-VPIT-IUBLA) Job Summary
This internship in the UITS Client Services and Support Division/IU CRMInitiative will assist with the technical administrative efforts on the IU CRMplatform powered by Salesforce. This internship would expose the student to working on an enterprise scale Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) platform that is leveraged across Indiana University for multiple business verticals. These include undergraduate/graduate student recruitment, university communications, employee services, external organization relations, and departmental relationship management. In addition, the student would be afforded the opportunity to discuss and analyze emerging technologies in a professional environment outside the classroom, as well as complete system administration and maintenance tasks. This internship would be appropriate for students with an interest in large-scale enterprise systems architecture, CRM technical administration, and working with industry leading vended software products. This position offers candidates a unique opportunity to learn about enterprise CRM platform administration at extreme scale and gain work experience in the Salesforce platform - a field with growing opportunity and a bright future. The selected intern will be coached through a collaborative approach to enterprise platform design and development.
Description of duties:
• Help with daily platform administrator tasks such as security setup, data uploads, and configured maintenance tasks.
• Assist with the investigation and proposed resolution of reported issues.
• Assist with solution development in a declarative configuration environment of multiple integrated vended software products.
• Assist with creation of draft documentation covering administrative and support processes. Note:
This position will work approximately 10-20 hours per week. Required Qualifications Graduate student in an information technology related field of study; or undergraduate student with strong technical aptitude.
Excellent technical analysis and solution development skills.Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information. Self-motivated and able to work independently with a minimum of amount supervision, as well as part of a team. Able to analyze information and exercise informed independent judgement. Strong time management and organizational skills. Efficient and detail oriented. Work Location
