This position is responsible for determining, developing,evaluating, and coordinating casting processes for the production of newbusiness and for the improved processing of existing business. This involves quoting for both newdevelopmental and production parts, attending to process engineering concernsfor developmental parts, assisting with obtaining new business, working toimprove existing processes, developing and using new technologies, andproviding technical support to Howmet Corporation.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
Follow Arconic’sSafety Regulations and work Rules Handbook along with all department specificsafety requirements.
Develops and debugs processes for production and developmentalparts.
Develops and troubleshoots processes for test materials.
Actively pursues the continuous improvement of existingprocesses.
Prepares quotes for production and developmental jobs andtest material jobs.
Supplies technical support to customers. Interacts with them regarding technicalconcerns
Must comply with all company attendance policies andguidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance andoccasional overtime.

This positionrequires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or universityin Metallurgical engineering, material sciences, or equivalent work-relatedexperience with continuing education in the technical courses to have anunderstanding of materials and high-temperature processing.
Skills and Abilities:
Reads, analyzes, andinterprets blue prints, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Effectively write reports, businesscorrespondence, and procedure manuals. Presents information and respond toquestions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Applies advancedmathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, andpermutations. Ability to applymathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determinationof test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques,sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Solves practicalproblems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where onlylimited standardization exists. Abilityto interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, orschedule form.
This positionrequires a minimum of three years of related technical experience and/ortraining in a manufacturing environment.
