Position Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to become a valuable member of our team at our service location in Manitowoc County. The ideal candidate should possess a solid mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dedicated commitment to upholding the reliability and safety of our fleet.

Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines and related components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot vehicle and equipment systems.
  • Ensure the completion of all repairs with precision and efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow team members and various departments.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and uphold a clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on industry advancements.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certification is a plus.
  • Preferably, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic / diesel technician.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and associated systems.
  • Solid knowledge of diesel engine technology, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to utilize diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
