As a candidate for employment with Childress Klein, you are required to undergo confidential pre-employment drug and background screenings.

Job Status: Part-time Hourly Non-Exempt

The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Senior Accountant and office division personnel by executing general office and accounting clerical functions and assisting as needed to ensure efficient operations of the accounting department.

The duties of this position include receiving and coding invoices, verifying mathematical accuracy, attaching delivery tickets, contracts and purchase orders to invoices as needed. Scanning invoices with appropriate documentation, inputting data into the Yardi accounting workflow system and routing invoices to the appropriate account manager for approval; reviewing the Yardi workflow system prior to each check run to ensure all invoices have been approved by account managers; take bank deposits to the local branch banks; enter tenant receipts into Yardi; enter tenant rebills into Yardi based on data provided on work orders from Property Management.

The Accounting Assistant will prepare check run edit reports from the Yardi accounting system, match hard copy invoices to each vendor report and forward reports and invoice batches to the accounting department for final processing and review; complete new vendor forms and maintain vendor W-9 information.

Qualifications include: Three to five years of accounting experience in accounts payable and receivable; experience in the property management industry preferred.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. One or more years’ experience using Microsoft Outlook. Applicant should be proficient in working with Windows operating systems and adept at learning new software applications; advanced and high-speed data entry skills, including 10 key entry.
