Responsibilities

The Education team in our Plantation office is quickly expanding and has an exciting opportunity to hire a Senior Consultant.  The successful candidate will work to build upon current work and client relationships to expand our footprint in the Florida marketplace.  For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to build a business and set up a solid career path that supports the important work of clients, while using a consulting approach and business mindset that can lead to advancement within our organization.

Senior Consultants play a crucial role at PCG to serve as the primary point of contact for clients and drive a strategy to develop and expand PCG's presence.  We value client service; Senior Consultants understand the education environment, manage most work tasks, ensure the quality of sophisticated deliverables, and apply project management practices to each engagement.  We value our team; Senior Consultants are expected to manage the local office site, represent the culture of the firm, and support hiring, training, and supervising staff.  Senior Consultants are skilled in that they can work independently with minimal supervision; serve as an internal consultant to other projects or product lines; and play a key role in proposals, presentations, and conferences. Senior Consultants understand technology and can learn our applications quickly in order to support the development life cycle.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a Florida based business development strategy.
  • Serve as a key contact person for Florida clients and build relationships with prospective clients.  Tasks include networking, meeting with clients regularly to update project status, overseeing project work tasks to ensure project management standards are upheld and communication is clear.  PCG’s goal is to maintain referenceable, happy clients.
  • Manage the local Plantation office and direct the work of the team.
  • Lead the proposal process for prospecting new clients and drive sales opportunities. 
  • Conduct staff performance reviews, provide professional development, and support mentoring opportunities for our growing team. 
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring new staff. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, operations, and client services. 
  • Manage project budgets and ensuring proper staff resources are allocated to each project. 
  • Develop and supervise the quality of key technology implementations, documents such as procedural and operational manuals, training presentations, guides, handbooks, and formal correspondence. 
  • Attend conferences, seminars, forums, trainings, and meetings.
  • Work closely with colleagues in other regional offices to share best practices, staff projects, and accomplish shared business development goals.

  • Supervise work with large data sets to ensure accurate outcomes and associated reports. 
  • Able to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes. 
  • Excellent business writing skills. 
  • Proven ability to make presentations to various audiences. 
  • Good judgment in completing tasks and in seeking guidance when needed. 
  • Ability to recognize risks, escalate issues, and identify solutions. 
  • Strong skills in the areas of interpersonal communication, analysis, critical thinking, attention to detail, technology, and multi-tasking.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. 
  • Experience in the areas of business development, education, information technology and business operations is highly desirable. 
  • Previous supervisory experience required.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the Plantation office and travel, mostly in Florida required.
