The Electrician will perform problem diagnostics, installation, alterations and preventative maintenance on various types of electrical equipment as required. 


  • Background with Class 1 Division 2 wiring and motors
  • Must be able to use both hydraulic and manual conduit bender
  • Proven experience with motor starters, overloads, control transformers and various test meters including a meg ohm meter
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
  • Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and other tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system
  • Review blueprints and execute and manage small construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and other applicable regulations


  • HS diploma or GED
  • Current Electrical Journeyman’s License
  • 4+ years’ experience as a journeyman electrician in an industrial/refinery setting


  • Experience with 4160, 480, 240 and 120 volts and motor control centers (MCC) bucket installation
  • Experience running ridged and tray cable conduit


  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
