Responsible for implementing and testing system enhancements and support for the business area they serve. 


  • Quality Assurance:
    • Prepare, maintain and execute manual and automated functional test scripts for changes and enhancements made to application modules, including upgrades.
    • Perform all levels of testing (functional, regression, post-release “smoke testing”), ensuring quality in all layers of the application from front- to back-end)
    • Use test automation software to develop reusable functional test scripts
    • Interact with users and functional associates to understand software specifications
    • Write technical documentation and document information specific to QA testing such as testing accounts, platforms tested, etc.
    • Help develop and maintain test plans/scripts for UAT
    • Monitor and maintain bugs in the backlog and close those no longer needed
    • Communicate issues with software quality to developers and management and validate resolution
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Support:
    • Support of users, which includes diagnosing and resolving issues related to application modules.
    • Provide user support for Altec associates via phone, email and in person
    • Track and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concern
    • Proactively identify areas of support that could be mitigated or eliminated with training, process change or system enhancement.
    • Assist with rollout of new systems to business
    • Initiate and support Oracle Service Requests
  • Other:
    • Help prepare training, user manuals and system documentation, as needed.
    • Lead and attend Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) events, as needed
    • Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn how to develop programs that meet staff and user requirements
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies
    • Remain highly adaptable - Due to the turbulent nature of priorities in supporting customers, this role requires high adaptability to changing demands, deadlines and priorities
    • All other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to exceptional candidates with 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of four years direct business experience in an Altec facility or a minimum of three years of systems experience.
  • Current valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated record of responsibility
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Motivated, goal oriented and persistent
  • Maintain Company confidentiality
  • Must handle stress and deadlines well
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Business Analyst experience is preferred
  • Software Quality Assurance experience is preferred
  • Experience with test automation software preferred
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience with Oracle EBS is preferred
  • Experience in Agile is preferred
