Job Summary:
Responsible for a variety of activities in support of the IT executive and senior management and adhere to production goals. Activities include preparing internal financial statements including monthly reporting, continuous forecasting, cost allocations and variance analyses. Tightly aligns IT to Finance through a dual reporting relationship.
 
Responsibilities for this Senior IT Financial Analyst job include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides financial management for the IT organization
  • Leads the analysis, development and implementation of financial analysis for IT planning and control
  • Analyzes and prepares IT budget/forecasts and develops proposals with supporting documentation and justification
  • IT liaison to procurement and finance in the development of business cases for IT expenditures
  • Audit and approve invoices for contract payment; proactively identify areas of overspend and work with IT leadership on a remediation plan
  • Responsible for analysis of actual performance versus budget and to forecast (monthly, quarterly full year view)
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an appropriate pricing model and chargeback/showback scheme for IT services, including linkage to expense allocations.
  • Ad-Hoc analysis for IT and Finance departments
  • Assists in planning SOX compliance program

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or accounting/finance required
  • CPA highly desirable
  • Experience in financial reporting using SOX
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple departments
  • Five to Seven years of related experience required
  • Strong computer skills. Must demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of IT hardware, software, and services terminology, contractual arrangements, and financial reporting
  • Must be able to multi-task
