Patient Service Representative - PSR - Washington, DC

Medix is hiring for experienced Patient Service Representatives (PSRs). This individual will be responsible for handling the access/registration functions for their specialty practice.

Patient Service Representative - PSR - Washington, DC


  • Greets and checks patients in/out for their appointments
  • Registers new patients into the system and obtains patient demographic information
  • Schedules, reschedules, and confirms appointments
  • Answers the phones, refers calls to the appropriate areas, and communicates messages as needed
  • Manages Medical Records; fax info to insurance companies, providers, etc.
  • Verifies insurance, collects copays, etc.
  • Updates patient information via EMR


  • Must have previous experience in Medical Front Desk related role
  • Must be able to perform all duties/responsibilities of the job
  • Teamwork - please pull examples how they worked with a practice and their experience working with others
  • Looking for someone with a Patient first mentality

Location: Washington, DC

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Position: Full-Time
