Systems Analyst

What is the opportunity?
This position is part of the team responsible for the support and development of the enterprise monitoring solutions used within our Company. Reporting to the manager of the Monitoring group, the incumbent will develop technical solutions to automate monitoring solutions. As a senior post, a high level of professionalism, industry knowledge, and drive is required to ensure the service provided matches the businesses’ needs.

What will you do?

1. Development and support of Monitoring API.
2. Automation of existing monitors in Zabbix and integrating them with Service Now.
3. Support and manage the Zabbix infrastructure in the Company.
4. Work with application and infrastructure teams to advise on monitoring approaches and strategies.
5. Evaluate and implement new monitoring tools and processes.
6. Participate in the review of alert escalation processes and procedures.
7. Issue and problem management.
8. Participation in strategic technology initiatives across infrastructure silos where appropriate.

What do you need to succeed?
(Must Have):

1. Proficiency in one object-oriented programming language: (Python).
2. Experience working in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
3. Experience with integration and regression tests.
4. Understanding business challenges and providing solutions.
5. Delivery of medium/large scale IT infrastructure projects.
6. Good level of presentation skills.

Nice to Have:

1. Scripting (shell, perl, batch, and java).
2. Strong Linux/UNIX knowledge.
3. Strong Windows knowledge.
4. Zabbix.
