Job Opportunity - Weekend On-Call CAREGiver ($250 Sign-On Bonus)

Home Instead of San Francisco, CA is one of the leaders in the Home Care industry and we are looking for a caring and compassionate Weekend On-Call CAREGiver to join our team! Our CARE team is a critical part of our operations. Our ability to deliver the best services for our Seniors is crucial for us to be the finest Home Care provider.

You will be responsible for responding to any unplanned assignments that come in during the weekend or specified period. This position will provide temporary coverage for any open shifts. The Weekend On-Call Caregiver is placed bi-weekly on standby beginning from Fridays at 5pm and ends at 8am on Mondays. You must be available to work any shift during that period of time. On-call pay ($250 flat rate) will be provided in addition to pay for any shifts worked $18.00/hr.

Our hiring process is safe! We offer virtual interviews and social distancing LiveScans. We will provide a fresh pair of gloves and mask if you wish, and everyone within the office team is following proper precautions.

Expectations and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides companionship and care for elderly clients in their own homes, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc.
  • Conduct basic errands and light housekeeping tasks
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Assistance with grooming and bathing
  • Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
  • Alzheimer’s or Dementia Care
  • Preparing meals
Qualifications:
  • Have at least one year of experience working as a caregiver, professional and/or personal experience
  • Must be able to work competently and independently in order to serve the needs of our seniors in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to provide services to clients with varying care needs including, but not limited to, assistance with ADL's, Dementia and Hospice care.
  • Must be able to respond to the Weekend/After-Hours Supervisor within 15 minutes. Car preferred but not required. Have open availability during the specified weekend period - Friday at 5pm to Monday at 8am.
  • Must be able to pass LiveScan fingerprint and drug screen
  • CNA preferred
