Corum Group San Francisco Full-Time
Apply on company site
VP Software M&A

The ideal candidate:

Tired of the CEO merry-go-round? Join the world’s leading seller of privately held software, IT and related technology companies - 7-figure earnings potential.

Corum Group seeks sales oriented executives to manage global merger engagements. MBA preferred. Positions available at world headquarters in Seattle, remotely around the U.S., and internationally - both full and part time.

Please apply only if you meet all of the following requirements:

  • Must have built and sold your own software related company.
  • CEO who came up through sales, preferably commissioned sales.
  • Must be exceptional public speaker.

To be successful:

Successful candidates need the intellectual capacity and energy to work with some of the world’s brightest entrepreneurs, managing the most important transaction of their life, the sale of their company. International experience preferred as 70% of engagements involve a non-U.S. buyer or seller, and the willingness to be 24/7 as the dialogues aren't always in convenient time zones. Extensive travel involved.

You should thrive on personal engagement - calling, not just emailing - beginning with educating execs through the world’s largest tech mergers and acquisition education series, following up with candidate clients, then tenaciously reaching out to buyers regarding acquisition opportunities. Between 6,000-8,000 executives attend Corum’s events annually.

You will be supported by a team of specialists in a detailed merger process that has proven to be the most successful in the industry.

Attention to detail is critical as Corum logs all engagement activity, buyer information, and lead follow-up in Dynamics. This engagement information, coupled with data gathered from research centers and global educational events, give our clients a decided advantage in the M&A process.

Naturally, in such a high level role in education, thought leadership, and transactions, excellent written skills are a must. You need to be an exceptional public speaker.

Join this elite team of technology industry professionals, including many former tech company CEOs, and successful tech mergers and acquisition professionals. Chosen candidates, following an evaluation period, will go through a one-year training and mentoring program. If successful, they can enjoy a flexible life style and exceptional longevity working in a supportive collegial environment.

About Corum:

Corum Group is a 34-year old international investment bank headquartered in Seattle and Zurich, with global presence in 36 countries, specializing in the sale of software, IT and related technology companies through exclusive engagements.

To build buyer and seller relationships and update its database daily, Corum has invested in the world's most extensive Tech M&A educational program with over 200 events annually. These are done in partnership with international and regional tech associations, major law and accounting firms, leading technology and private equity firms, and the World Financial Symposiums (URL blocked - click to apply) whose mission is "Educating Technology Leaders". Corum's flagship event for C-level executives, owners, investors and buyers is a half-day conference, "Selling Up Selling Out". It is the most attended executive IT conference in history, running weekly for the past 25 years. "Merge Briefing", "Tech M&A Monthly Webcast", "M&A Market Spotlight" and "Growth and Exit Strategies" are some of the other events Corum either conducts directly, or as a primary sponsor.

The firm's "Global Tech M&A Annual Report" on 30 market sectors presented with world tech leaders/buyers/investors/futurists, Monthly and Quarterly M&A updates, and Corum's "Top Ten Disruptive Technology Trends" are among the industry’s most respected research. They are produced by the firm's three research centers, supported by the company's 500 member advisory board - The World Technology Council (WTC).

Corum's 8 Step "Optimum Outcome" process utilizes a unique team approach to best prepare clients so that they aren't a victim of today's tougher due diligence. The process leaves no stone unturned in a global partner search to the new generation of buyers. The result of the investment in process, education, utilizing more experienced team leaders, and proprietary buyer knowledgebase is the successful sale of more privately held software and related technology companies than any Tech M&A firm in history.

Come join our success. Start a new career with Corum.
