Position Description:
The Director of Human Resources ensures the development and implementation of the HR Strategy and HR processes to support the overall business strategy for multiple sites in the US. This individual will also create and implement initiatives according to the Global HR strategy. The HR Director will enable the achievement of business objectives by developing an effective network within the region and within Corporate HR.
  •  Contribute to the development of the overall business strategy
  •  Implement the HR Strategy in the area of responsibility
  •  Implement, monitor and sustain HR processes, guidelines, policies, and projects in alignment with the HR corporate centers and Regional HR Business Partner
  •  Act as an HR Business Partner for the senior leadership teams in the Filter Elements manufacturing cluster (Fayetteville NC and Dillon SC plants)
  •  Provide guidance, functional expertise and recommendations for the local HR BPs and the leadership teams; as well as to the local Plant Managers
  •  Drive knowledge management and best practices sharing across the plants in the U.S.
  •  Ensure reporting of HR data to the Corporate and Regional Management as needed
  •  Develop and implement Change Management initiatives in cooperation with the relevant functional departments
  •  Prepare the short-, mid-, and long-term plans for HR activities in agreement with the Regional HR Business Partner
  •  Act as the ambassador of global HR processes and standards. Ensure the involvement of HR in business decisions.
  •  Steer and participate in corporate, regional, or local projects
  •  Ensure the timely adaptation to all legal changes regarding employment issues
  •  Ensure that the HR organization is properly organized, staffed and directed
  •  Guide, motivate and develop the HR team within the area of responsibility
  •  Drive the development of the organization using the FILTER values
  •  Plan, implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  •  Travel 10% - 15%

  •  Bachelor’s degree in associated disciplines such as Business Sciences; Organizational Management; Psychology/Social Sciences; Legal background or similar
  •  A minimum of 10 years progressive work experience in Human Resources with a min of 5 years in a leadership capacity
  •  Relevant experience as an HR Business Partner working directly with service centers and centers of expertise
  •  Experience in managing HR functional areas both strategically and tactically for multiple manufacturing locations
  •  Superior communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to effectively address all levels of the organization
  •  Competencies: achievement orientation, customer focus, organizational effectiveness, people development, strategic orientation/initiative, team leadership
  •  Empathy, analytical thinking, organization awareness, flexibility
  •  Experience in a global organization is a plus
