DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Cambridge Health Alliance Nursing Team provides care with an emphasis on culturally sensitive and evidence-based nursing practice. The ICU at the Cambridge Hospital is responsible for, but not limited to, managing critically ill patients on mechanical ventilation, telemetry monitoring, invasive monitoring, and multiple continuous IV medications.
Summary:
Under the direction of site and support staff supervisors provide a variety of clerical and secretarial duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, various tasks concerning patients registration, bookings, greeting and assistance of patients and family members in their processing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Other information:
* High school/GED required; Associates Degree preferred
Work Experience:
* 3-year Administrative experience in a medical office setting.
* Fluency in Microsoft applications such as advanced word processing, spreadsheets, databases, flowcharts and graphics (Microsoft Office and Google apps), writing, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required.
* Ability to deal efficiently, ethically and courteously with all hospital personnel. Excellent verbal and written skills
* to facilitate communication with a variety of medical and technical personnel.
