Our Eden Prairie client has an immediate need for a Supervisor. In this role you will directly supervise a team of in-house repair technicians ensuring that all activities are completed efficiently, on time, within budget and meet all quality and customer requirements. Ensure that repair processes are executed to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and standards by managing through established Quality Systems, documentation, and metric-based requirements. Provide communication and updates to team members regularly to ensure that information and activities are executed as planned. Service, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems and system subassemblies used in all medical Systems equipment. Collaborate effectively across departments to resolve challenges for the technical service team daily.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily activities of a team of in-house Service Technicians
  • Assign and monitor work activities
  • Set and communicate performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving results and completing tasks
  • Promote employee development and foster growth of employees through:
    • Performance Management
    • Skills Development
    • Continuous one-on-one feedback
    • Annual individual performance review
    • Recognition and motivational techniques/tools to drive high levels of employee performance and engagement.
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations through effective individual and team communication and provide ongoing support
  • Manage conflict by dealing effectively with others in an antagonistic situation; use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to reduce tension and conflict between two or more people
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies, work rules and safety regulations
  • Perform daily analysis of all customer systems and loaners in the repair process to ensure turn-around standards are met
  • Review loaner inventory on a daily basis to ensure customer availability and adjust priorities and resources as needed
  • Balance and redirect resources as required to ensure optimum team and repair turn-around time performance
  • Interface with management, engineering, technical and non-technical staff to ensure overall performance and expectations are met
  • Recommend measures to improve repair methods and quality of repaired equipment
  • Use advanced technical knowledge, software tools, techniques and procedures to assist, identify, understand and resolve multiple complex technical problems.
  • Coordinate repair activities with Customer Support, Production, and Warehouse staff as needed
  • Lead or assist in implementation of product changes/issues into repair activities


  • Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent military training
  • 6 - 10 years electro/mechanical technical experience
  • 1 - 4 years direct supervisory experience in a technical role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others and provide effective feedback and accountability.
