Position Summary
The Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager is responsible for managing external reporting to various stakeholders including governmental agencies and other regulators, in addition to managing internal reporting needs and performing technical accounting research and preparing memos/whitepaper documentation for technical accounting matters affecting the company. Experience collaborating with Accounting, Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, Treasury and other key business partners is a must.

Essential Functions
• Preparation of annual and periodic financial statements and related footnotes through Workiva. Preparation of other filings, such as subsidiary financial statements as needed.
• Collaboration with internal and external legal counsel to support annual audit reporting, quarterly reporting needs, and other regulatory filings requirements, as needed.
• Identify, research and summarize significant new or existing transactions or accounting related issues, including share-based compensation, derivatives, intangible asset impairment testing, debt and equity transactions, consolidation accounting (including variable interest entities), and related reporting/disclosure matters.
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations for technical areas, including share-based compensation, derivatives, debt and equity transactions, and goodwill/intangibles to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls requirements.
• Research, evaluate and manage the implementation of new accounting standards as required.
• Working with corporate Accounting team, ensure propriety of cash flow statement, equity rollforward and footnote tie-out.
• Serve as a primary liaison with external and internal auditors, including oversight of quarterly reviews and interim and annual internal control and financial statement audits.

• Experience with Workiva a plus

Qualifications
• Degree in Accounting required
• CPA required
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive work experience in Big 4 or combination of Big 4 and industry accounting experience preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

- Recent relevant financial experience

- Solid technology and analytical abilities

- Comprehensive knowledge of management reporting

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- CPA/MBA preferred

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
