This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Final grade level offered will be based on candidate experience level. What You'll Get To Do:The selected candidate will be part of the Command & Launch Systems Physical Security Hardware Design Team supporting the engineering, architectural development and requirements and verification maturation for Physical Security systems. Specific duties in this role will include:
* Development of the intrusion detection, access control and video assessment systems for high value assets. Includes requirements and specifications development, model-based system engineering, product selection and development, interface definitions, system integration and testing, documentation generation, drawings development, installation instructions and maintenance instructions.
* Gain a working knowledge of security industry software and hardware offerings and maintain a working knowledge of ongoing and future developments and improvements throughout the industry.
* Ensure Physical Security System (PSS) design meets program specific requirements and Air Force and DoD general requirements, policies, and procedures for security of high priority assets
* In addition to integrating with the PSS team, interface with other elements to include system and segment level teams
* Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
* Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirementsThis positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Relocation assistance may be available.
