Maintenance Journeyman Electrician-2nd shift

Appleton Electric, a growing metal casting foundry in South Milwaukee is seeking Electricians for our 2nd shift.  If you are an individual interested grow within the organization, with position is for you. 
Job Summary

The Electrician will plan, install and repair electrical fixtures.  Responsible for handling equipment issues and failures, assembling, installing, wiring and testing electrical systems.  You will install, assemble and wire electrical systems that operate heating, lighting, power, electronic equipment and data systems. 

Some of the benefits for this position include a shift differential, overtime on hours worked over 8 hours in a day, prorated two weeks vacation and up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
  • Comply with and maintain areas to 5S 1 standards and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections
  • Installation of switches, fixes, motors, relays, thermostats and current controls.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical issues on industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Build or modify control panels.


 REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Ability to work with a variety of tools.

  • This position requires knowledge of electricy, electrical principles and practices, electrical circuits and controls.

  • This knowledge is typically acquired through formal technical training supplemented by an accredited journeyman apprenticeship, plus experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • Additional work experience may substitute for accredited journeyman status.
