Compensation: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00 per year

Robert Half Finance is actively looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk. This role requires you to match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, perform data entry tasks and facilitate the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a full-time role in the Chico, California, area. Your responsibilities - Track budgets and originate or validate adjustments and transfers to support budgetary control goals - Use manual or electronic methods to add financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers - Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources - Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance - Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching filing - Make sure all transaction documents are correct, which may require revising other documents or entries and may initiate other actions - Carry out other related duties and work on special projects as assigned - Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes - Perform general accounting and administration tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects For confidential consideration please reach out to Renee Sweis at [Click Here to Email Your Resumé]

Job Requirements

- 2+ years of accounting experience required - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred - navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience required - Solid understanding of accounts payable - Outstanding data entry skills - Proficient in Excel and SAP - Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment - Entry-level applicants considered
