Job Description

Job Description This position is responsible for executing daily assigned duties that include but not limited to all outcomes of Government Property in an accurate and efficient manner. This position will assist in all areas of Government Property Management identified by site lead and/or management. It includes working on a daily basis with Program, Supply Chain, Material,Transportation and other areas and personnel to ensure accurate recording, tagging and identification of Government Property, inventory and the physical movement of property for disposition while ensuring proper and accurate data elements are provided to site lead as required.
Primary duties and responsibilities are:
  • Perform assigned duties under direction from Site lead which can include but not limited to administrative and data entry, verification and performance of physical inventories and ensuring indicative data is entered and accurate on official records.
  • Ensure data entry integrity of records.
  • Assist in problem resolution and reconciliation activities.
  • Perform physical inventory functions.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting and warehousing of excess property.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely disposition of Government Property once received.
  • Validate that assets are received and accounted for within the appropriate system ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Assist and perform shipment, receiving and other movement as directed.
  • Assist with maintenance of auditable records of government-owned property located at the facility and associated vendor/subcontractor facilities or other alternate sites.
  • Assist in developing internal and external reports pertaining to government property.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing with company personnel, customers and suppliers. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for prolong periods, climb and maneuver as needed to accurately record information in a safe manner. Work unassisted in a warehouse environment. The ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations as required. Must be a self-started and have the ability to work unsupervised at times.
Preferred Skills and Education Knowledge of DOD contracting environment a plus
Familiar with PCARSS E-Tools a plus
Membership in National Property Management Association (NPMA) preferred
