RESPONSIBILITIES:


The Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs mechanical & electrical issues including PLC problems on manufacturing and facilities equipment; performs and develops preventative (PM) and Predictive (PdM) maintenance procedures. Acts as a resource for the technicians with machine setup, troubleshooting and repairs.

REQUIREMENTS:

National Electrical Code (NEC License is preferred)

Associated degree in Industrial Systems, Mechatronics, or equivalent field with three years' experience in manufacturing; or High School Diploma or GED with seven years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and act on instructions from MSDS/SDS; Confined Space, LO/TO, and Arc Flash Procedures

Able to perform installation, corrective maintenance or preventive/predictive maintenance on production equipment such as melting furnace, dryers (gas and oil fired), continuous belt furnaces, blenders, packers, blowers, screens, bucket elevators, electric motors, dust collectors, high velocity air and water equipment

Planning and installing a variety of electrical equipment (control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, and switches)

Able to use PCs to PLC controllers in order to troubleshoot the following: AC motors and controls to 480Vac 3 phase & DC motors and controls to 180Vdc ; repair servo drives and motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work order tracking and closure

Learn and Implement advanced PdM techniques (thermographic imaging, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, oil analysis)
