Project Analyst / Senior Project Analyst Job Description

Position Overview:

The Manager Data Processing team is responsible for all aspects of investment data management for Cambridge Associates. This includes data collection, data interpretation and input using Cambridge Associates defined methodologies and best practices, investment manager profile administration, audit and due diligence support, quality control and request management. The Project Analyst position will support multiple projects of various size and complexities. A strong project analyst will have the opportunity to lead small projects as they grow within the role.

Job Responsibilities:

* Project coordination including scheduling and running project meetings, creating project reports
* Formal project documentation and training
* Financial data review including quality control and assurance
* Supports project managers by providing data analysis and executing on project implementation processes
* Handling frequent data and project inquiries
* Ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion including private equity, hedge fund, and marketable performance information
* Oversight of dedicated project members on a cyclical basis

Required Skills

* Experience using MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Experience performing data analysis in Excel (e.g., charts, pivot tables, index-match, countif, sumif, etc.)
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial data analysis

Desired Skills

* 3+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial data analysis required in a project lead capacity.
* Experience in querying data using SQL or related languages preferred
* Experience in auditing data sets, including creating, implementing, and improving upon audits
* Experience working with IT in various capacities including suggesting improvements to applications, creating reports, and troubleshooting issues
* BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience in similar industries.
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or restriction.
