Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with overseeing the accounting operations for acquisition accounting process as well as the related accounting integration of such acquired companies. This role will be managing a team of one or more individuals and will report to the Senior Manager of M&A.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase agreements and ensure proper purchase accounting in accordance with ASC805
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end acquisition close, which includes working with the acquired company controllers, ensuring the acquired companies submit their results timely as well as review the financial information submitted
  • Accounting Policy alignment (ensure acquired company complies with ADT Accounting Policies)
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and supporting schedules,
  • Manage the integration plan of the acquired company into ADT accounting systems and processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members from other functional areas as well as external sources,
  • Comply with Internal controls and best practices,
  • Initiate process improvements to increase efficiency of financial close and accuracy of financial accounts,
  • Support the financial reporting team as needed for preparation of the Form 10-Q, 10-K and other filings as needed,
  • Provide information for auditors,
  • Special projects
