Position Summary:

The Analyst, Customs Operations provides analytical, research and customs support related to company's drawback program. This role requires an individual who can effectively build and maintain positive relationships while providing a superior level of customer service to the various key contacts. The successful candidate can work autonomously in a fast paced and deadline driven environment and has excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

This position will be responsible for evaluation and recordkeeping of customs entry and export documents. This position will assist customs brokers with the entry of ocean and cross border shipments. Prepares required export documents, including SLI, as needed. Provides customs entry and export documents as required for audits. The position will work with foreign suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to resolve issues related to shipping documents, bill of lading or Customs in-bond documents. This role is relied upon for their high-level of problem solving and reasoning skills and their ability to take appropriate action to ensure prompt and complete customer satisfaction.

Provides timely updates to Pernod Ricard USA management, ensuring accurate history information.

Key Competencies & Qualifications:


Undergraduate degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Analytics or related field required.

Experience / Qualification:

* 2-4 years' experience in imports, exports and international logistics. Experience in the alcohol beverage industry a plus.
* Knowledge of HTSUS, Form 7512 requirements, and Schedule B. Experience with ACE portal system preferred.
* Strong and demonstrable customer service mindset.
* Proven ability to deliver high quality results to a strict timetable within a fast paced environment.
* Excellent decision making, analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Excellent organization skills. Strong working knowledge of MS Office. Experience in JD Edwards E1, OBI, Axis is an asset.
