Job Description

AECOM is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.

_This position is expected to begin as soon as possible._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
* Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
* Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
* Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
* Identifies discrepancies in results.
* Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
* Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
* Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
* Capable of working independently or within a design team
* Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.
* Excellent communication skills with project team, partners, agencies, and clients

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Valid U.S. Driver's License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Experienced with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

+ Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

+ Engineer In Training Certification

+ Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models

+ Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

+ This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $75,000.00 - $100,000.00.
