Corporate Legal Assistant for Top FINTECH Firm

Confidential Torrance, CA Full-Time

A well established Fintech Firm is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Legal Assistant to join their team at the C-Suite. This position requires an advanced capability in communication and research with an emphasis on legal and compliance documentation as well as project management across business operations. The right candidate is a strong communicator with an entrepreneurial mind and a knack for problem-solving, documentation and timeline management, as well as working cross-functionally with outside legal counsel across all areas of corporate law.

This role is an exciting opportunity to work with a busy team of C Suite Executives where you will be able to help drive and manage the internal legal process and functions as well as be involved in the overall communication and due diligence process to help with ad hoc projects. You will support in monitoring policies and procedures as well as overall administration in monitoring new initiatives.

The right candidate is collaborative, team-focused, highly organized and passionate about technology, software, and financial services with a strong background in providing support as a legal assistant/analyst, paralegal, or business affairs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years work experience ideally as a Paralegal / Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant or Coordinator
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Paralegal certification preferred but not required
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented with a discerning eye to interpret data and research
  • Team- focused and collaborative, always looking to lend a helping hand and lift up team-members
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both oral and written. Ability to establish rapport with business and personal contact
  • Effective team-player and willing to expand responsibilities and learn new skills
