A week in the life of aData / DatabaseManagerfor SURFMEPP: The Data / DatabaseManagerfor SURFMEPPacts as an Lead for data and databasemanager for the SURFMEPP Program providing maintenance and modernization DATA requirements for surface navy ships to the SURFMEPP chain of command. * Management of SURFMEPP data * Improve effectiveness of the database tools and services * Ensuring all data complies with legal regulations * Protect and backup information * Regular reporting to the SURFMEPP Community * Monitoring database performance * Improving the technology used * Building new and maintaining existing databases * Monitoring data entry procedures * Troubleshooting * Navy Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical review and change management oversight for the collection, reconciliation, compilation, manipulation and display of current and historical data from multiple Surface Warfare enterprise databases to perform analysis and deliver recommendations for class and specific requirements strategies in accordance with maintenance policies and processes. * Retrieve, catalog and post ship maintenance data to databases as directed in support of standard or special ship class products.
