Salary: $120,000 - $160,000
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week with flexibility to work weekends as needed. During the fall, winter, and spring, the schedule is typically 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day.

Overview:
A young couple with an infant is seeking an experienced and adaptable Private Chef to join their household. This position requires traveling between their residences in NYC, Scarsdale, NY, and Bridgehampton, NY during the summer months. The ideal candidate must be pet-friendly, as the family has two dogs, and be comfortable cooking for both the immediate family and guests, particularly during the summer season. This is a Kosher household, and experience with Kosher cooking is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily meals for the family, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, tailored to their preferences: simple American-style cuisine for the Mister and healthy, organic, clean meals for the Mrs.
- Plan and execute menus for small gatherings and larger family events, especially during the summer months.
- Source and shop for high-quality, fresh ingredients, with a focus on organic and locally-sourced produce.
- Ensure the kitchen is always clean, organized, and well-stocked, adhering to Kosher standards and food safety protocols.
- Adapt to dietary restrictions and preferences as needed, including maintaining Kosher dietary practices.
- Travel with the family between their NYC and Scarsdale residences during the fall to spring, and to their Bridgehampton residence during the summer months, typically from Wednesday through Sunday.
- Prepare meals and treats for the family’s dogs, taking into account any dietary restrictions.
- Manage kitchen inventory, monitor supplies, and liaise with vendors to ensure all ingredients and equipment are available.
- Maintain a professional and discreet presence, respecting the family’s privacy at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Private Chef in a private household or similar setting.
- Expertise in a variety of cuisines, with a focus on American and healthy, organic meals.
- Strong culinary skills in menu planning, food presentation, and special event catering.
- Experience cooking in a Kosher household is preferred.
- Ability to create menus for both intimate family meals and larger gatherings.
- Flexible and willing to travel between multiple residences.
- Must be comfortable working around pets and have a pet-friendly attitude.
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
- Professional, discreet, and able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
